The covid-19 monitoring committee on Ignatius Ajuru University of Education campus were on Wednesday September 30th, 2020 inaugurated at the council chambers of the institution.


Inaugurating the sixteen man committee, the Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele hinted that their appointment was based on merit. He charged them to carry out their duties with seriousness, sincerity and commitment in order to help the university perform the important assignment of protecting lives.


The Chief Executive noted that their appointment is an opportunity for them to render selfless service and that though without any monetary benefits, the university will support and fund them to enable them fight the covid-19 pandemic.


He called for prayers on the unusual incidence which he observed was ravaging the whole world especially with Spain recording the highest number of cases of the covid-19 pandemic, described by many as alarming.


In his remarks, the Chairman of the covid-19 monitoring committee on campus Dr Jonathan O. Udechukwu expressed appreciation to the university Management for the appointment and added that they would succeed with the help of God even though it is an enormous task.
