Due the challenge of inadequate funding of tertiary institutions in the developing parts of the world in general and in Nigeria in particular, the Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele established the Advancement Centre on 3rd April, 2017. However, the Centre officially took off in February 2018 due to reconstruction work on its office building.
