DIRECTORS TO PRESENT SCORE CARDS.
All Directors of Units appointed over a year ago are to present their score cards to the university Administration.
The Vice-Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele made this known during the Senate Meeting of Wednesday May 30, 2018.
He said that the move of stock taking is to find out areas where the university can support the Units doing well and shut down those not performing adding that the fewer they are, the better.
He thanked the Dean of Postgraduate school for graduating the first batch of Masters degree students on record time. He equally expressed appreciation to all those who worked hard to achieve that feat and hopes that the second batch would enjoy same treatment. And as a token of appreciation, a cash award was presented to Professor Sam Otamiri of the Department of Office and Information Management and Head of Department of Technical Education Dr Stephen W. Amadi for being the first to graduate their pioneer Masters degree students for 2016/2017 academic session.
Presenting the Postgraduate School results for 2016/2017 academic session to Members of Senate for approval, the Dean, Postgraduate School Professor Daniel Ndubuisi Ogum thanked all lecturers who taught and supervised students and added that they would be encouraged to do more financially.
Out of the total of 706 postgraduate students presented, 589 scaled through while 119 did not. The breakdown shows that all the 37 MPhil students passed. Out of the 144 PGDE students presented, 94 are graduating while 50 are not. Out of the 488 Masters degree students presented, 424 are graduating with 64 not graduating.
Senate approved the results.
